Cloud Chamber 157
December 31st, 2007Ring out, wild bells! A splendid 2008 to all (or is it both?) our readers.
Fission Fragments
December 23rd, 2007Once again, a bony spectral hand reaches from the cobwebbed archives of the past: these are the “Fission Fragments” news and gossip columns I wrote for Ad Astra from 1979 to 1981.
SFX 162 column
December 22nd, 2007“Potterdammerung”: at last, the real end of Harry Potter.
Merry Xmas to all!
Ansible 245, December 2007
December 1st, 2007The Apricot Files
November 27th, 2007Here’s a book which assembles a load of old computer magazine columns (Apricot File, 1985-1988). Because I have no shame.
SFX 161 column
November 19th, 2007The Christmas 2007 issue has arrived (SFX 164), which is the signal for me to post the above and also to emit a heartfelt groan at the discovery that I typed Amphigorey Also when I meant Amphigorey Again. More here.
Later: I forgot to upload my two reviews from the same issue.
Does anyone know what causes the phantom comments to postings here? “1 Comment” all too often means no comment. I can’t delete them because, logically enough, the wretched software reports there’s nothing to delete.
Curiosities
November 11th, 2007Today I updated my links to Langford “Curiosities” book features in The Magazine of Fantasy and SF, since the December contribution is now on line.
Ansible 244, November 2007
November 1st, 2007“Remember, remember, the fifth of November,
Gunpowder, treason, and plot:
I see no reason
Why gunpowder treason
Should be commemorated by Ansible appearing four days previously.”
(Traditional, emended by William McGonagall)
SFX 160 column
October 23rd, 2007Also a bonus “SFX Book Club” feature on A Wizard of Earthsea.
